Title: The Timeless Ride
Post by: Chitza on February 18, 2016, 10:00:47 AM
At 58 years old, Hubert sold everything he had and started riding.

"I can work 10 more years and retire poor. Or I can sell everything I own and ride for 10 years. And when I am done I will be poor. It was a no brainer."

"I'm not Rambo.  In my next life, I will be Rambo."

That's some funny stuff.

Good find, K.

To sell everything and go. When people do this it amazes me. Sometimes I wish I had the nerve.

I think it's more a change in priorities then having the nerve.

I think after 5-6 months, I would be bored and ready to return home.

Ha, funny, after 6 months, I am "home".  Right now "home" is a place I can park the rig, do maintenance, clean, refocus.  Prepare for the next six months.

Karla sent me this thread, I think she may be the next to pull the plug?

Like JR said, it has much less to do with nerve than priorities.  If things are important to you, and having a place to keep your things, you need to stay where you are at.  Once you realize things are the problem, the WORLD opens up to you.  Once I polish off America, I will set my sights on the rest of the world - but I LOVE America!

Hope to see you guys soon.

My wife and I will do the RV thing when we retire.  Gotta get the little one through college first.
