I'm starting a new game. Here's the rules.
1. Post a pic you took while out on a ride.
2. The object will be to guess where the pic was taken. Therefore the pic must have some prominent landmark, structure or sign making it possible to guess where the pic was taken. You can post a video instead of a pic if you want.
3. The person who guesses gets to post the next pic.
4. If no one guesses correctly within 48 hours then the person posting the pic can post a new pic after identifying the last one. If this isn't done within 24 hours then the game is open to the first person who wishes to post a new picture.
I'll start it off with this pic:

You are correct BTW. It is disputed if that is actually the Whitaker homestead. That's what I always called it. But you never know without talking to the owners. They rarely come out for visitors....understandably. I've never talked to them. But, they don't seem to mind fat, dirty men walking around and taking pictures.
Apparently, they are very concerned about quarry blasting operations nearby that might collapse the natural bridge. There were petitions nearby to stop the blasting, last time I was there.
Staying with the rules, since nobody guessed the last one I posted.
The Old Shelby County Courthouse is a defunct courthouse in Columbiana, Alabama. It was built in 1854. It served as the courthouse for Shelby County until 1906 when a larger court facility was built. Sneak a peek at a map, it might come back to you. I kinda figure this one will need a Google-boost anyways. Someone has almost this exact angle linked to the location on gmaps.
It's almost my sleepy time so one more hint and fun fact.
The canyon shares the name of a town that still holds the world record for fastest temperature change. 49 deg. In two minutes :o ....true story, bruh. Once the phenomenon was over, It subsequently reurned to the starting temp in only 27 minutes. Also, the fast moving moving creek freezes from bottom to top in winter and, as a result of bottom ice buildup, has caused flooding in ********.

Clarksdale, MS. Home of the blues. I keep telling myself I'm going to ride over there some day.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I did ride there once, on my Sportster. This was about 2002. I read an article by a guy following the "Blues Trail" on his bike and riding to Clarksdale and Rosedale, so being a blues fan I decided that was something I needed to do.
Rode to the Crossroads, then to an outdoor concert/festival in front of the blues museum. About dark I moved over to Ground Zero Blues Club and saw some great acts. Met one of the owners of the place (not Morgan Freeman, but his partner) who directed me to park my bike up on the porch. I have a photo of that, somewhere. Then the owner asked if I had signed the wall yet, and when I said no he pointed out where the members of Heart had signed. My name is now right underneath theirs.
Next day I rode to Rosedale, which is totally different from Clarksdale.

Yes. That is a fun area with lots of cool old historical stuff off in the woods.
This might be a bit tougher. If you know what/where, it is easy. Otherwise might be tough to figure out.

I'm guessing nobody is going to know so I'll cut the wait time short.
It's the H.E. DeBardeleben coal washer structure in Acmar. Built in 1911.
I had shared a good bit of historical info regarding the structure and associated mining operations on the old BR site. But, it was all lost when the server puked.
Really interesting history surrounding DeBardeleben and the mining operations.

This game is a little different. You don't have to have a TAG with your bike in it. Just a photo you took while visiting a place on your bike. Opens up the possibilities

That would be the country store in shady valley on the snake. Great ride. Took it from Bristol TN all the way to Boone NC IIRC. I actually enjoyed that better than the Dragon's Tail.
