Title: Checking my fork seals
Post by: klaviator on June 09, 2016, 04:41:05 PM
After the free State ride I noticed that one of the fork seals on my KLR was leaking.  So I used a Seal Mate to hopefully remove any dirt from the seals and worked in some Molykote 55.  I finally got around to going for a ride and checking the seal today.  So I headed over to Wheeler to work the front suspension a bit.

I found over a dozen large trees that had fallen into the river.  Here's one:

I took a little detour to an area that is under water during the winter and early spring and found a new trail I hadn't been on before.  It led me to a nice scenic spot so I took some pics.

Looking back on the trail I came in on:

When I got home after my epic 28 mile ride I checked the fork and it was not leaking(http://advrider.com/styles/advrider_smilies/clap.gif)

I just did a complete rebuild on my klr forks.  They were nasty.

I'd take 28 miles over zero miles any day.  Glad you seem to have the leak stopped.
