Title: First off-road
Post by: Muss on November 26, 2015, 04:48:56 PM
Finally got some time take a short ride about. There's an orchard near my house Toney, al has a bunch of access trails.   Love how the bike handled. My fat ass bottomed out the spring a couple times at 5 clicks tho. Lol.

That's good to hear. Not that your fat ass is bottoming the bike out but that you got to go off-roading for your first time. It becomes very addicting and gets hard to stop. Way to go!

If you NEVER bottom out the spring, you aren't taking full advantage of the suspension.   Of course, if you are bottoming out on dirt roads, it may be a little soft :)

As you get more comfortable off the pavement and ride more difficult terrain you will probably want to firm it up with a stiffer spring.

Glad you are enjoying the off road!

Offroad is where you "REALLY LEARN HOW TO RIDE A MOTORCYCLE."

Balance and Control, the more you practice the better you will get!

Welcome to the dirty world of Offroad. 8)
