I'm buying a CRF300LN.  Checking local dealers (Bham, Ttown), I got pricing/ availability from Pinnacle, Hall's, and Smith's.  Pinnacle- no availability until maybe September, Hall's - one on the floor, Smith's- one shipping from Honda on 7/28.

Long story short, Hall's out-the-door $7036.91.  Smith's out-the-door $6402.74.  $904 17 difference.

I haven't bought a bike from Smith's since 1983 and I really didn't think I would ever again but, now that Willy has retired, I can work with them again.

It's a great bike but budget another $700 to $1400 for suspension upgrades.

Also, if you don't care about the first few hundred miles, they are showing up daily on FB groups for sale with very low mileage. Mine had 166 on it.

I'm already looking at the upgrades.  What suspension did you go with?  Did you do any other upgrades?

The bike should be here in a week or two.  Honda says it should ship this Thursday.

I got Cartridges and Shock from FastBike Industries in NC. It was about $1200. FastLap in Pelham did the install for about $200 on the forks. If you don't need that much, the YSS shock and a spring for the front is good for about half that cost. The big difference is the ability to control rebound. Stock has basically no rebound control. The cartridges give you adjustment on the cap. The difference in the bike is huge. You're welcome to try mine if you're anywhere near Hartselle.

These are awesome. The shock is a Nitron. RallyRaid has a full suspension kit that is about the same price and is reportedly easier to install.

Willie must be what,105 years old by now? He was friends with my dad when I was a kid. My Dad was born in 1930!

Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however,  extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity.

If it don't scare you, you ain't doing it right.
