Title: Brief update "trip to Crossvill, Tn"
Post by: polarissalesman on September 20, 2015, 09:34:50 PM
Beautiful area, but it's on the plateau so don't expect a lot of mountains in the area, but it's id 1500/1700 ft above sea level so it is a little cooler.... OUr trip saw some great riding temps , 2 days we wore jackets all day....lot of good roads , 298, 62, 27 116 are some of the best....the Devils triangle was a very good ride, lot of switchbacks, then a lot of curves to get in a good rhythm, only draw back there is a lot of houses on 116 in 1 stretch but it won't disappoint...

Davey Crockett camp ground.... offers camping or cabins, we stayed in a very nice cabin $100 a night no crazy fees...quite and is a great set up, nice lodge they do serve beer and food here, NO internet or satellite tv for cabins...which was a plus to me  :) . has a pool and an indoor pool/hot tube.... also has bath house for campers... We will go back ....

Sounds like a good trip. We use to camp at the park when I was a kid. We always looked forward to spending the weekend up there.
