Tested the GoPro out the other night when I decided to hit up blood mountain on a whim. I'm thinking this motorcycle fever has almost drove me insane.

2017 Perry Mountain 24 Hr Challenge
The Warden advised me that the background audio for the video that previously occupied this slot contained inappropriate bad words. I replied "Yes...you are absolutely correct, dear. I will take care of it immediately" and deleted the post. So here's version 2 of the same video with some tamer audio. Nothing spectacular....just a few minutes from last weekend. I got to ride almost all day, both days.

A quick production using VIRB Edit. This is from Sunday at The Ridge. Some of you will notice that our old friend Mill was there. He flew in from Idaho for a few days and had a loaner bike (KTM 200). It was very generous of a fellow member to provide the bike for him to use on 2 different days.

Have you tried shooting at 2.7K 60fps? Youtube downsamples it to 1080p60 but the image quality and stability is really good! That's what I've been shooting on recently and found to be the best for dirt riding.

I hooked up with a few of the TN Dual Sport guys and rode the PMMC Dual Sport Ride this past Saturday.
The 'before' and 'after' lunch routes were @ 50 miles each...somehow after @ 10 miles on the a.m. route we wound up on the p.m. course. After lunch we did @ 10 miles and realized "this all looks familiar...", so we cut the route short and headed back to the club. We did @ 60 miles total...around 30+ miles of it was single track.
Incredible sucky video being posted by the worst moron who has ever taken a motorcycle off-road.
Of course this video is on road...testing out my new GoPro6 Black. :D Want to get at lest one video before I completely destroy the camera. ;)

My father retired out of the military in 1974. He went in in 1938 and with a few breaks, served in the Army, Army Air Corp, and Air Force. He was a W.W.II, Korea, Vietnam vet. We wound up in Fairfield because he got a job @U,S,Steel. It was a decent place to live but since has fallen on hard times. In some places, really hard times. Burnt out houses, abandon houses, it has more than a few. Glen Oaks, Fair Oaks were sort of like different suburbs to Fairfield. We all went to High School together.
Downtown, when we moved there, had 3 different movie houses, 4 hardware stores, 4 restaurants, 2 butcher shops, 1 place that sold fresh butchered chicken, and 1 seafood shop that sold fresh fish from the gulf that was trucked in every 2 days.
But that was then, this is now, and the times did change. :(

Loved the video. Both of my parents grew up in that area(Midfield). The stories my dad tells about his childhood make the area sound amazing. Now, not so much. My grandmother still attends Fairfield Highlands Baptist, and I go with her occasionally. Sad to see how bad that area is now. But hey, if Avondale can be revitalized then maybe there's still a chance.
