Title: Hog Jowl road
Post by: mojo1 on September 05, 2016, 08:29:37 PM
In a curve on Hog Jowl over in Georgia there is some fine sandy gravel in it ( 34.706968, -85.409647 ). Its not noticeable until your on it. Had a serious pucker moment earlier today, Don't really know how I made it through. I was sideways going through. Anyway I thought I would put this out there in case anyone plans on going over in that area anytime soon.

Greg and I were on that road Sunday and that curve is still treacherous.  The way the road slopes with a gravel driveway on the high side, it will always be subject to gravel and sand on that curve.

I used to live in flintstone just up the road. Got my first street bike while I was living up there (NT650 Honda Hawk) and did many a a lap up and down there (Daugherty Gap and over by Nick A Jack road). always gravel in many of those roads mainly after any decent amount of rain.

157 up on top of lookout was like a high speed roller coaster ride at supra legal speeds.
