Title: Bead leak on my tire
Post by: LawnmowerRG on December 27, 2019, 07:31:10 PM
I found a new one today.
I snatched off my TKC 80s my BMW today.
Slapped the Dunlop trail smarts back on.
Ran out to do a couple things after work. One stop was about an 1 to 1.5 hours.
When I pulled out I noticed the bike didn't want to turn. Like a flat tire. Then the dash went nuts and was flashing red showing me I had 21 psi in the front tire. Suspicions were confirmed.

I ran back to the shop and broke the tire down. The little molding tits were trapped in the bead part was around the tire. At each one that was trapped I had developed a leak after I had ridden.

I cut all the ones closest to the bead and it appears to have solved the problem.

I hope this helps someone in the future.

Better to find it now than later.
