Title: Planning a ride is a lot of work, but enjoyable work.
Post by: TN_twowheeladdict on September 20, 2020, 08:57:47 AM
After meeting with @klaviator in Ardmore and not feeling up to a group ride where I would slow down the group, I decided to see if I could put together a route that would be interesting and possibly new for those in North Alabama.

It took me 8 hours to cover about 160 miles on the Van Van because of the frequent stopping to stretch and figure the next leg.

Here are some photos of of what can be seen on this ride.

Waited on a herd of 8 deer to clear the road because of fencing that was panicking them.

Glad you had a good ride.  Which direction did you go?

I forgot to take a photo of the water crossing, so here is an archive photo.  :)

I went east.  I have custom routes in my GP S.  I am going to ride the route today on the Himalayan to see how long it takes.  Game?

Not today but sometime in the future for sure.

Many of the roads contain 'ridge', 'creek' or 'hollow' in their names.  That tells you the riding will be interesting.  LOL!

I'm going to refrain from commenting on the V85TT.
