Don't know if any of you have heard about these amazing riders and their bikes.  I had never heard of them until Barber, and, while there, I heard stories a'plenty!  Thankfully, a member of the NAVMC is personal friends with the group, and he arranged for us to meet in Muscle Shoals (they traveled from Corinth, MS; we from Huntsville) last Sunday (Nov 12).  When we first discussed the gathering, the Critters said they would bring a trailer and "a few bikes" for us to see.  Little did we know that they would actually bring FOUR trailers filled with more than 20 bikes!  To say the least, it was a Honda lover's dream (no pun intended)! :D  Many of their bikes are displayed at the museum contained within the Honda dealership in Corinth, MS, should any of you find yourselves in the area!  We're planning a road trip especially to see the Critters and the rest of their bikes!

Here are a few photos from the event.  Enjoy!

We gathered from various origins at a central location between Athens and Muscle Shoals, and then rode together to Champy's Fried Chicken (a good restaurant, by the way), where the Critters were awaiting our arrival.

Note the two bikes foremost in the photo (the rusty, dirty ones).  Two of the Critters rode these bikes from Memphis to San Fransisco over a 10-day period via the Trans-America Trail! :o

How's this mid-50s Honda Dream for awesome?!!  And I got to hear the story of restoring the blue bike behind it, and just how intensive the restoration was--all the way to a hand-fabricated side cover, made to match factory specs!

The 306th XS650 built by Yamaha, when they introduced the model in 1971!  My first street bike was a (1979) XS650, so I have a real soft spot for these bikes :)

This bike was another off-the-charts example of amazing craftsmanship!

Marc, I mentioned seeing some Honda Dreams out in the boonies near the Skyway.  Here's some pics.  I wonder if any of these are from the same group you met with.

Win, you sure have me wondering, because the features of the bikes are exactly the same as the ones I featured! :o
