Had an awesome time yesterday at the Perry Mountain Tower Run dual sport ride. Teamed up with the guys from TNDualSport.com.

(video to come...)

Gonna have to go to this event sometime.  From watching a video one of the P.A.R. guys posted this morning, it looks like I am really going to have to work on my skills.  Lots of single-track.

KevinB

They call it a "dual sport" ride,  but it's really just a lot of really tight single track  connected via FS roads. :)

I know in the past they've had Adventure routes.  Did they have that this year?  That might be more my style.

KevinB

They had both routes available...the ADV route is a loop of dirt roads through TNF.

@bnsutton

Spent some time riding TNF/ Skyway today with a couple o' big bikes...

Grabbed the ADV "Central AL Dual Sport" tag...

Lunch at some BBQ place in Talladega (If I had backed up and taken the pic, we could see what the name was...)

That was a great ride! The big adventure bikes did a great job! Love my GSA, she really will go almost  anywhere. She does get a little heavy but she just goes. As usual KevinB was the ride master extraordinaire! Can't wait to do it again.

You guys should try the route from Cheaha to Highland Park in Cedartown, GA...

This was from last week...I got the big girl out to ride on Sunday for a bit. I'm really blessed to have all of the curvy roads, dirt roads, OHV trails, etc in the mountains and National Forests of N GA, TN, and NC so close by, but today I wanted to check out a nearby WMA (there are 12 of them within a 1hr radius!) and explore...

Then I rode up to Currahee Mountain in nearby Toccoa, GA. If you haven't heard of it, that's where the "Band of Brothers" trained and had to run up the mountain.
I stopped for a bit and flew the drone briefly...

If you have a fast computer, click on "4K"  8) to see the drone flight in high res UHD...

Did about 70 miles, most of it on WMA roads. All in all, a good day to ride.

Getting some seat time on the "new" bike before heading to work...
