Nothing special, and I'm sure most of you have been here.  I couldn't find a riding partner on Saturday but kdtrull suggested checking out Kinlock Falls because it is a fairly short ride from where I live.  Bankhead Forrest is a really beautiful area!   Anyways, a few photos from the trip:

Looking forward to exploring more of Bankhead!

I have toyed with the idea of doing a dual sport group ride in Bankhead to see a couple of waterfalls, but I don't know how many people would be interested.  Most of the waterfalls there require hiking and climbing to see them.  As far as I know, Kinlock is the only waterfall that does not require a hike.

I love that forest...

That would be fun! The only issue I see is having to hike with my helmet and riding gear as I don't have a way to lock it to the bike!

I made a long cable lock for about $20 using vinyl covered steel cable and ferrules from Lowes.  It's long enough to run through the sleeve of a jacket and my helmet.

Great photos.  I'm sure it was a perfect day to get out and nice to have quality destinations for a short hop from home.

Great report, BamaPhill. I hope you consider joining the Dual sporting the free State in April!
