This will be a mostly easy dual sport ride in the Bankhead Natl. Forest.  For the most part this will be easy forest service road and paved roads in and around the Bankhead Forest.  We may go down a challenging trail to the river but that will be an optional down and back.

Two meeting spots:

Danville Gas station, 5730-5704, AL-36, Danville, AL 35619  KSU will be 9 AM

McDougle Camp, 3074 AL-33, Moulton, AL 35650.  We should get there around 9:30 ish

This camp is were we had the last couple of spring bankhead rides.

We'll probably do lunch at Chef Troy's.

I'm really needing a ride. I've spent a week sitting in HSV Hospital with my dad. He may be moved to a rehab facility tomorrow. If that goes as planned, I'll try and be there. Otherwise, I'll be sitting some more and waiting for the report.

I hope things go well for your dad.

I am an absolute beginner with no experience off pavement.  Spent a lot of time in and around the Sipsey hiking and camping.

Ridden around the Bankhead as well although all on pavement.

If skill level ZERO beginners are encouraged to attend I would love to join you.

Also, I am an ICU nurse Manager and never k know if or when I will get a weekend off.

Hope to see yall Saturday.

This will be a good ride for you to get some dual sport experience.  Looking forward to meeting you on Saturday.

Be advised that the Mcdougle camp is not really marked and pretty hard to find.  If you have never been there and don't have GPS you may want to meet us at the gas station.  The gas station is connected to the Danville Grocery and actually says "Solar" on the roof above the pumps.
