Edit: Here's the details:
Meet: Speedway 1375 Huntsville highway, Fayetteville, TN. (0n 431 a little south south of Wally World)
Time: Meet: 9:00 We'll depart around 9:15
This ride will be mostly easy dirt roads and some paved roads as well. There will be some roads I haven't ridden before so I can't say for sure what it will all be like but I don't expect anything really hard. Expect to get lost at least once :D
Lunch will be at the Barrel House BBQ in Lynchburg.
I haven't worked out the details yet but I'm planning on a dual sport ride on Saturday. The weather forecast calls for a cool and dry day. Most likely we will ride the area East of Fayetteville and have lunch in Lynchburg. I'll figure out a meeting time and place in the next day or so.
This ride will spend a lot of time on dirt roads but nothing difficult as far as I know so feel free to bring your big adventure bikes.
I expect there will still be some great fall colors.
I'm in!
I plan to be there.
Interested...
Have you decided on a meeting place and time?
Hope to make. Have a dinner engagement at 5:30 and I have to prepare ribs for it. Have to be home in Harvest by 2:00.
I have some stuff going on that might get in the way of this ride. I should know one way or the other in a few hours.
If I can do this then we will probably meet just south of Fayetteville at 9.
I'll post as soon as I know if I'll be able to make it.
I'm going to pass this weekend. I have some slab riding I'm thinking of doing. Have fun and try to keep the mud off the top of the mirrors.

Come ride with us until lunch and then head home. You can easily be home by 2.
I'm in. Look forward to meeting you all.
Great! See you there!
Will the ride end at the starting point? Thinking that I may have to haul up, ride, haul home. Just need to plan a place to park.

We'll come back to Fayetteville. You could probably park at Wally World.

I won't be there, but for anyone who is on the fence there is a lot of fun and beauty in that area. With the leaves color change like it is now you won't forget it if you go. I was with
@klaviator on the wander around scout which was aided by information from
@TN_twowheeladdict scouting around that area. Im positive it will be a really nice ride. Look forward to the ride report.
Planning to be there in the morning.
The wife and I rode out to Smith Mill Rd today and stopped by Southern Pride Distillery for supplies.
I did see some gravel side roads here and there. Klaviator will find all of them!

It's going to be a cooold ride to Fayetteville this morning!
I am saddling up soon. Its going to be chilly ride starting out. Its going to be a beautiful day, warming up soon.
Dead battery. Next time
Great ride today. Sorry to Dave for loosing a drive belt. It was cool seeing everyone step up to get his bike home safe. Even though it was quite cold this morning it turned into a very nice sunny day.
You guys are great. Thanks to all.
I will be ready for the next one.

Thanks to everyone who showed up today. I took a ton of pics. I'll post some when I get the chance.
There were 6 of us at the Speedway in Fayetteville this morning.
Some back road action.
Bridge over the Elk River.
Another bridge over the Elk river.
.
.
Many of the trees had lost their leaves. It was nothing like the brilliant colors I had on Monday.
It was still a nice ride.
I snapped this next one while riding. If I was by myself I would have stopped and taken some pics from this spot. I was really happy it turned out.
We made a couple of turns. A bit after one of them Klaus pulled beside me so I pulled over. The others were not behind him.
Oh Oh!
So we went back.
The belt on Dave's Buell had snapped. We decided to get to a better place to come up with a plan.
We were only a couple of miles from the Pritchard's Distillery. What better place to go and get some relief from this situation.
So we had the smallest bike in the group towing the biggest ???
.
A shot of
@El Vulch and his new KTM790.
We got to the distillery and parked. Now we needed a plan. Randy to the rescue. He had hauled his bike to Fayetteville and his truck and trailer were in the Wally World parking lot and that was only 8 miles away.
Now we had been riding for an hour or so. How were we only 8 miles from our starting point???
Ride with me sometime and you will see why :D
The plan was for Dave to ride bitch to the truck and drive it back. Then he would drive home, unload his broken bike, load his good bike, return to Wally World, unload his good bike and leave the truck there and ride home.
Getting ready for the ride of shame.
.
Great time! Sorry about your belt, Dave. I think we jinxed it when we were talking about it prior to the ride!
I should have bought a new belt at 30k and kept that one for a spare!
I have another OEM belt on the way. And clutch plates too while I'm at it.

There was no reason for all of us to ride to Fayetteville and back. Rich, John and I hung out at the distillery. We went inside. It was quite a cool place. The owner is 81 and still actively involved in running the place as is his wife. The building used to be a school.
.
They have a display and gift shop in what used to be the school library.

They were proud of the fact that they were featured in the July 2011 Playboy.
Sorry, I got caught up in other stuff and never posted all the pics for this ride.
