A group of us has wanted to attend the March Moto Madness for several years but have never been able to make it happen. This year we all decided to make it happen, so we all registered in early January. All the prep work took longer than we thought, and we were tying up loose ends Thursday. We got on the road about an hour later than we wanted but we were off.

After a delay in Chattanooga for 3 wrecks we finally arrive at the rally site just before dark. Lastparrot was patiently waiting on us at the campsite. After we set up the RV we went to the barn to watch some of the Auburn game

Friday morning Lastparrot dropped by and we all went over to the Barn for breakfast. Then we headed out to explore Tellico Plains. Our first adventure was Star Mountain. This was about a 40 mile loop up and around the mountain. Back to the RV for lunch and plan our afternoon ride.

Late Saturday afternoon the weather started to change and with strong storms predicted for later that night we decided to pack up early and head home. A great experience for our first time at March Moto Madness and we would like to attend the event again next year
Good report. Hopefully I'll see you there next year.
Did y'all discover the sand on Starr mountain? There's one patch of it that grabs your front tire real good.

Sand now, pea gravel...yes. there was a lot of it in the corners on the switchbacks

There's only one patch of sand that I remembered. And if you ain't ready for it, it will dump you.

I don't remember any sand. The road going up Star mountain was in good shape, there was a motor grader working up there Friday. The gravel on the the way down the backside was terrible.
