Have you ever felt like a fish out of water when you throw a leg over a dirtbike?
Well then, Saturday is for you!! I am not a great rider or teacher but I am willing to spend the morning working together to be better riders!
Most people just lack confidence and don't spend enough time getting comfortable on their bike. They unload and head straight for the trail they are most comfortable on and enjoy a great day on 2 wheels.
As always, bring all your safety gear. You are responsible for your own safety!
The Plan:
Saturday morning plan to arrive at The Ridge in Springville, AL when the gates open at 9am. Sign up at the clubhouse for the $20 daily ride fee and $5 annual membership if you haven't already done so this year.
Meet me at the north east parking lot by the kids track.

We will unload, gear up and be ready to ride by 9:30.
The Curriculum:
Body Positioning
Static Balancing
Full Lock Turns
Practical Wheelies
Log Crossings
This will give you a firm foundation to begin to ride some of the more technical trails with logs, ledges and unknown surprises.
This will be a fun event and a great chance to get to know some fellow forum members.
The main focus for the day is to get comfortable on your bike, I am not a great rider nor am I a great teacher so don't have high expectations of wheelieing over cars like Graham Jarvis.
I am really just hoping to put into practice some principles that people like Barry (see youtube link below) preach on the web.
If you want to bone up on some of the skills check out this youtube channel!

Let's get better together!
David is being humble .... He is actually a phenomenal dirt rider.
This is an opportunity to learn some skills from a great dirt rider.
Sounds like a grand time, count me in!
Fantastic !
Awesome!
Unfortunately I gotta work this Saturday. :(
So how much you charge for private lessons. :)
I tell ya, all this working stuff is just getting in the way of my life. :'(
Yea, Berry is a hoot on YouTube. Learn stuff, see it done, and have a laugh. A good bloke! 👍🏻
If we last all day, looks like we can practice mud techniques too!

Never have to pay me for riding!! If you drop that bike on my foot though, you owe me a beer or two!
Looking forward to seeing everyone out there in the AM! Post up if you plan to come so we don't head off without you!
Hope somebody shows up! This is a great opportunity!
I would be all over this if I didn't have other plans that I can't change. Please keep trying cause its a great idea.

Don't worry, we're going to have plenty of fails waiting for him!
It will happen again. Hopefully with a little more notice!
