Every two years the toughest challenge in vintage motorcycles takes place, The Cannonball.

This years it's pre 1929 bikes.

Team Norton from TX is ready;

Unfortunately, this year the route is more northern than in the past, so seeing it this year will require a trip.

...And Renchinrider is traveling to Sturgis to see the riders at their midway stop! ;D  I've been sporadically chronicling my (even more sporadic) efforts to prep my '74 Harley Shovelhead to ride up there, but I have my '02 Road King already prepared just in case.  Getting to spend a day mingling with the Cannonball teams is an unforgettable experience.  I've been lucky enough to do so in '14, '16, and this year.

Alabamians Erik Bahl (1915 Harley) and Doug Wothke (not sure what year) Indian, will be participating!

I'll do a trip report, and will post real time pics on instagram (@renchinrider) while I'm there.
