Not trying to rush ya..... lol
Just thought I'd stop in and supervise all the work that's not getting done..... :D
How frisky are you feeling for this event? I've got an exhaust that needs aligning/remounting on the 200
Not sure I have the "right" tools for that job but, we can give it a try!
My zuma125 needs a bash plate....but It doesnt want to drive that far.....

I need to bend one for my Beta 300 also. Let me know what you end up doing. I was thinking a tree, a pry bar and a torch. Then I'll throw some cuss words at it and hope some stick. Mine is bent so bad that it won't even go back on the bike. It's also an FMF Gnarly so it's a thicker gauge steel than oem.
Mine is an FMF Gnarly as well. It will go on the bike but leaves a nice little gap at the bottom where it mounts to the jug. Thinking prybar & torch as well but I'm not above grinding off a bit of the mounting lip to get it flush

A local tube bending shop might be able to help with this. Using a mandrel while bending will help to keep the pipe from collapsing on it's self.

These are both 2-stroke expansion chambers. I don't think anyone will have specific mandrels for this. I have had one straightened before. The guy is Nashville. So to avoid paying $45 plus shipping 2 ways, I'm going to try it myself. Mine isn't caved in bad its just bent out of alignment. I think I can do it.
I have a 24yo reason to travel to Nashville Frequently. I'll be glad to deliver and arrange pickup and return. We burn up I-65 a couple times a month.
I had to realign the pipe on my 200 a month or so ago...it was bad enough that both O-rings were visible outside of the exhaust flange.
I put it on my workbench and started by wedging a prybar between the headpipe and expansion chamber, and progressed to a 1" piece of wood tapped into the gap and levering until it was back to "close enough".
I have a stock tinfoil pipe, though...YMMV.
This was the video I saw prior to doing mine and figured, "That looks easy enough for Mongo to try". I used wood where he used metal.

That's exactly what I need to do. Thank man.
In the video he blames it on the guard. I wasn't running a pipe guard, so I no longer believe this myth. My bike did flip down a hill and try to kill me as I ran for my life. Good times.
I see the time posted was befor 7:00 or after 7:30.
Question is will it be ok to stop in like 3:00 or so? I'll leave T-town after lunch in a company cage due to small mishap yesterday. I won't be on my bike. I had planned on ridding up to Wheeler to get the tag, But that will have to wait for another trip.
Just wanted to check on your afternoon plans. I don't want to show up too early.
I might be able to make this- how much you get fer one of them Teflon slippy plates?

I won't be home from work until around 5. I hate that you won't be on the bike!

Depending on how big of a piece you need I would think $30 to $50. The mounting hardware will also need to be sourced. I bent a couple of pieces of aluminum from Lowes into hooks.

Same bike and problem as mine, thanks Kevin!
Just a reminder this is coming up Thursday.
With having to stop to pick up the little one from daycare, can someone grab maybe 3 or 4 Little Caesar Extra Most Bestest Pizzas on the way in? It is not too far from the house.
I will have some Coors Light and I think a 2-Liter of Diet coke is in the fridge. If you prefer fancier or less fancy (bblass) beer BYOB!
I should be able to take care of the Pizza problem..... Anything else that might be needed?
I think that will set us up pretty well!!
Tonight! Tonight! Come one come all!
Looks like we will have maybe 5 or 6 people show up, no one else has anything they need to work on?
I guess people are hibernating!
Does anybody need me to pick anything up from cyclegear?
I'm good on parts.
Do I need to bring a spare set of tire irons, fork seal drivers or any other assorted tools?
Good on tire irons. haven't heard anyone planning to bring their forks
Come down to the left side of the house, there is a basement door that should be open!
Not going to make it. I had that exhaust in the car to bring to you but it's not gonna work out tonight...

If you didn't make it, then you missed out! It was a good night of shooting the shit, changing a tube, flushing a troublesome brake line, Foxing up the best off-road bike ever made and beer drinking! ::)
Had a great time, thanks for hosting!
Had a great time and thanks for letting the old dog from down south join the fun....

Chuck did get his hands dirty and changed his first motorcycle tire!

Did anyone get any pictures of the Foxing of the KDX or the YZ brake line shenanigans?

I always forget pictures. Never enough time while I hastily try to cram too much into one night...
