Title: tire mounting
Post by: IceCold4x4 on October 24, 2016, 10:40:24 PM
Well seeing as how i'm replacing 4 or 5 tires a year now I've been debating about buying my own mounting machine (and possibly splitting it with a few other friends that ride) . Does anyone here have one that would maybe mind showing me how it's done and what all it takes to get setup with it? That way I can at least know if i should continue shelling out to have mine mounted or make that yet another thing i can do myself.

I have seen someone use the Nomar setup for tubeless and tubed tires and it looked easy peasy!!

KevinB has one.  I need to change the tires on my Versys, so next time he hosts a garage party, you should try to make it.

A bit more work...but I change all my tires with this, Tenere, KLR, dirtbike....etc...

and balance them with this....

Also a small bead-breaker from Harbor Freight...but I think it's been discontinued.
