ahhhhh, now all those modern bikes with 35 way adjustable suspension, efi, tbw, abs, anti-wheelie, and other gizmos have something to imagine they're doing.... on their 11.3 mile commutes ;-)
Wow that's so dang awesome. It looks like they still own the bikes ?
At least one of the bikes is in Ducati's museum.

"In September of 1957 Leopoldo Tartarini (later of Italjet fame) and Giorgio Monetti left Bologna on a pair of the newly announced 175T models (standard apart from the rear luggage racks). In 12 months they rode around the world providing excellent publicity for the company, which followed up by establishing sales outlets in many of the countries they passed through. The pair returned in triumph to Bologna on 5th September 1958, just in time to celebrate Ducati's filling the first five places at the Italian GP at Monza that day. Remarkably the bikes are still in the condition they finished the trip in! Photographed near Bologna, Italy. 2018."
