OK, I've put this off long enough.

Flash Mob get-together for Bamarides. This is a family friendly event. Bring your better half and/or the kids.

Bamarides will furnish hotdogs, burgers and drinks.

There will be slideshows and videos of our members' riding, racing or touring adventures.

Date: Feb 20, 2016
Where: Trenton, Al at Valley VFD station.
When: Starting around 11:00am, food ready by noon and leave when you want.

We need a head count if you plan to attend. Let me know if you would like to present a slideshow and/or video.

Good chance I can make this one Cuz.   Put me down for one and I will let you know if anything changes.    I have ridden up there a pretty good bit but always chasing you or on a poker run.  Any chance you can lead a fun run over the mountain after lunch?

Weather permitting, we'll ride anywhere you want cuz.

Mrs mayday and myself will try to be there.

Just for the record, I'm reasonably sure that the 2016 riding season started on January 1.

I have a program that will take a folder full of pics and make a slideshow. It does all the work. I'll be glad to create it for you.

Well that makes it easy, doesn't it? Would I be able to just bring a jump drive with all the pictures in one folder to the flash mob or does it take a lot of time? I would guess somewhere around 400 pictures.

Takes about 30 minutes, but the software is on my desktop. I'll only be bringing my laptop. I'll get with you sometime between now and then and get them from you.

I guess John plans to bring me even though he didn't mention it yet. ??? Maybe he plans to leave me at home. You never know. :D I'll plan to be there as well.

You can always use PowerPoint to make a slideshow. It's not difficult. Just put one picture per each slide, set a transition, and hit play. Now I get to pick on John when I get home and ask him if he wants some help.

Johnny, my slideshow will be on my laptop.  Will you have a cable to connect to the projector?

What do you need, VGA, S-video....

I can connect my laptop using HDMI, or I can bring an external hard drive that is USB.

I'll look at the projector today and see what our options are.

My laptop has USB and HDMI ports.  I have never used the HDMI so I don't know for sure that it works.

Is this going to be rescheduled for another weekend?   It looks like Jim's service is going to be around the same time frame.

Since I don't have another weekend open very soon, I'm going to have this as planned. I'm going to leave it up to everyone to choose which to attend.

Jim was a great guy and he will be remembered.

An HDMI projector in Trenton, Alabama.  Who woulda thunk it?

I work for a Fortune 1000 company, and we do not even have an HDMI projector.  I suggest that you use a cable lock to make sure that it does not walk off...

Trenton is on Hwy 65, 7 miles from Hwy 72. It's about 50 miles from Decatur, Like Mike said.

Turns out I was not late for lunch. And lunch was in fact great. As was the ride leading to and after.   And the sign looked pretty dang professional and everything

The missus and I had a great time.  Much thanks. 

I had a great time too.   Thanks Cuz for organizing, thanks to the cooks, and thanks to those that shared videos and pics.    It was a good day to ride and visit with like minded people.

It was great seeing lots of friends today.  Enjoyed the camaraderie and the food!  Rode up to Trenton with Cy, and came back with Larry.

Got to see a buzzard try to take Larry's head off ... that was fun!

Thanks to all the attended. I would like to make this a yearly event during the cooler part of riding season. Let's move it around the state each year. If you have a place to host this event, let me know.

We made a quick loop through the Valley, up to Skyline and back to Woodville.

Thanks for this,  Johnny.   It was fun spending time with friends,  and meeting a few new ones.

Great to see and talk with all in attendance today. Thanks to the cooks. Special thanks to Johnny for his time and labor to put this together for us. Bamarides rocks!
