Title: Short Loop through N. AL and TN.
Post by: klaviator on September 08, 2019, 07:30:19 AM
I got out yesterday and did a short 175 mile loop.  I headed East and then north.  I stopped at Madison County lake to take some pics.

Then I ride up through New Market and over to Fish Hatchery road.  I had forgotten how good Fish Hatchery  and the other roads leading to Lynchburg were.

I did stop once and get this pic.

I was expecting a sunny and hot day but it was actually cloudy and cool in TN.

I stopped in Lynchburg.  It was still early and not crowded.

After Lynchburg I picked up 129 west.  If you haven't ridden it, 129 is a nice curvy and scenic road.  It's not as curvy as the more famous US129 but it's still fun.  I did encounter some kamikazi birds.

I stopped at the Old Delina Country Stor for lunch and got the added bonus of being able to check out these classic cars.

Lunch was good.  After lunch the sun came out and it started getting hot.  I stopped at Midway cycles on the way home to order a new rear tire.

It was a good ride and reminded me why I like riding up into Tennessee so much.

I reckon Miss Jan and I will have to check out Delina. As usual, great pictures. d
