Title: WAY TOO CLOSE
Post by: Al Goodwin on October 16, 2015, 09:00:31 AM
This is my "NEAR-MISS" yesterday morning headed to work.  Hartselle, Al....approaching intersection of 31 & 36, from 31 Northbound.  Cop had a car pulled over on my right, I guess the car was looking at that instead of ME.

HOLY CRAP!  An encounter like that and I'd have been shaking too hard to make it to work.  I just about had a stroke just watching it.

Yup. I'd lost my temper and gone after em. Same thing has happened to me before but during the day. Makes me so freakin mad to see that happen.
Did you edit out the part of the video where you went after them? I didn't see that part.

Be careful kicking doors. You might get a lesson in physics.

I think you did an awesome job of keeping your cool.

Same thing happened to me on the way to this year's Rally In The Valley.  I just gave 'em a little bit of the stink-eye and let it go.
I had way more fun at Johnny's place than I would have in jail or the hospital.

Geez. Good control, glad you kept your wits. Knock wood I've never had quite that happen. Yet.

Why jail? He (AG) did nothing wrong. He did the right thing(s) avoiding a crash.

More than likely he was referring to my lack of retaliation.

I didn't break a window or bust his mirror off. ::)

That is what I am talking about Alan.  The best thing, not the easiest, is to just " let it go".  I have three places to avoid, the jail, hospital and funeral home. The escalation of a situation can get a person into one of them.

Sorry for my misunderstanding. I too would never think to retaliate against someone for what is (more than likely) an honest mistake, not a vicious, targeted attack.
