Title: TPI 2 strokes
Post by: yamahamer on December 08, 2020, 04:10:26 AM
I have been riding dirt bikes for over 40 years. During that time I have never had a new dirt bike, last week I changed that.
I picked up a 2021 KTM XC250 TPI and wow! The fuel injection is spot on and the bike is so smooth it just makes traction. The bike has the counter balance crank and has zero vibration on or off the pipe, AKA powerband. This was a big plus to me as age is catching up with me and my hands would go numb quick on my 2013 bike.
This model also has air forks, no springs. When you get old and fat, just add more air.  ;D  Joking aside the suspension is amazing and sucks up bumps and roots.
The bike feels lighter than it is. It will lift front wheel with little effort even before the pipe comes on.
At this point I have no regrets with this purchase. I will try and update more as I put more hours on it.
Stay dirty my friends.  8)

Starting the few mods that I will need.
TuBliss system so I can run low pressure and radiator guards cause Kyle will drag me into some crap soon. LOL

;D First real dirt nap yesterday, 2 off them but only got one pic.
Radiator guards paid for themselves. the other nap was is a rocky reek bed and would have trashed the radiator.
On to shopping for a pipe guard next...........

That is one sweet bike. I'm seriously happy for you.

Let me make a suggestion for the ultimate in pipe protection. P-Tech will save you from many dented pipes if you plan to follow Kyle around and it will protect that linkage.

I ordered a Emperor from Slavens, should be here Thursday.
Figured if Slavens sells it it can't be too bad.

Got the new belly on it last night. This should save money in the long run.
