Should you put it on a battery tender when doing the ecu work?

That is what was recommended while modifying the maps on the 690!

That's what I would hope, but I've got an ace up my sleeve in the way of a lightweight but full size lithium battery that has about 700 cranking amps so if they kill it they are retarded.
