RuckedUp

Good day MA forum. RuckedUp here giving everyone my noob shout out! Have been living in the area for the better part of 3 years. Just now finding time to get out and about for some steady riding in the area. My handle "RuckedUp" was given to me by the FF down in the panhandle of FL back in 09 for my over sized rucksack I took along on the rides down on the Eglin Reservation while I was learning the finer point of riding sand. From what I remember from the cadre was along the lines of; "Ruck just Pin it and hang on"! Ah some of the best advice I ever received.

I like the long DS rides and monster 1000 mile plus day rides. Have dabbled in Rally racing in Europe and Greece.  Have been fortunate to have ridden on 3 different continents around the world, (North Africa, Europe and North America).

Bucket list still includes South and Central America and the TAT!!

I have a oversized RV slot on the back of my home which is always open for wrenching on bikes and shooting pucks! (Im a Hockey nut as well!! Go Preds!)

We interrupt this blah blah for some 690 / Moto Porn..

Welcome from Birmingham!

Glad to have such a well traveled moto man amongst us!

Ever do a 1000 mile plus day on the 690? I know I have no desire for that on mine! I think I got up to 450 miles one day at I was worn out!

I had to hump the slab back to Fountain, CO from Goodyear, AZ. 841 miles on my KTM 690R via the highway. Buddy I was riding with had some Army deal on his plate he could not get out of. I wore padded jell shorts that I use for mountain biking; that helped take the edge off. Was not to bad given I was on knobby tires. More than anything I remember freezing my ass off when the sun went down in the mountains  as we got into South CO. Good times.:) Left at 0500 and hit the garage at midnight on the dot!!

Welcome from another Huntsville rider.  I'm just a few miles away from you--we live in Hazel Green.  I post a lot in the Vintage section, mostly on behalf of the North Alabama Vintage Motorcycle Club (NAVMC).  If the spirit ever moves you, feel free to join us any Saturday at the Blue Plate Cafe II located at the corner of S. Memorial Parkway and Byrd Spring Road.  We gather at 8 am.  It's a fun bunch of folks that ride just about every kind of bike you can think of. ;)
