I recently requested a thread under Photos and Videos for murals.  It was something we had back in the old days and has been added back to our site as a pinned thread in that section.

Today I saw this advertised on a Facebook page https://www.northalabama.org/trails/mural-trail/
I didn't realize there was such a thing but it's excellent timing!

And don't forget about the county challenge/game  https://www.motorcyclealabama.com/rides/index.php?board=71.0

Or if you really want to explore a county, you can find interesting houses, buildings, and history at https://www.motorcyclealabama.com/rides/index.php?board=19.0

I get that a lot of people would rather ride then write up a trip report, but it's always fun to read where other members have been and I am especially grateful for those of you who do or who organize and encourage rides for us.  It inspires us to get out and ride!  But the links I have shared are places on this site where you can just take a photo with no write ups involved.  The tapatalk app will even allow you to post directly from your phone.

It's great to just get out and ride with no plan other than wind therapy, but if you want to think about where you are going in advance, I encourage you to make an effort to explore another county, or contribute to either the photo tag or theme tag games.

We have enough members from different parts of the state to be able to cover all of Alabama, so I'm hoping this will get a few to post and keep our site lively.

Nice job, @Guidedawg. You're definitely inspiring me and kick starting my imagination!

We have some members who are great at organizing rides, some who can offer mechanical advice, and others who post great pictures or reports.  I just want to maintain other areas of this site for some of us to contribute by doing nothing more than taking a photo of a nearby historical building, mural,  or even something recognizable in a county as they pass through.  ;)

Thanks for norton73 who did just that as he was exploring forest roads this weekend.  You rock!
