Performed the 3481 mile "service" on the VFR. Changed to oil and filter and installed a new set of tires. Trying Pirellis this time. Diablo Rosso Corso on the front, Diablo Rosso II on the rear. I'm trying a different set up on the front, changing from the stock 120/70 front to a 120/60 to see if that might "quicken" the front end feel a bit.
There's no such thing as a "REAL RIDER!". If you have a motorcycle, you've done all you need to do.

Changed air filter.  New whiter headlight bulbs and whiter LED driving lights.  Finally got a new relay and installed my 10,000 decibel horn.

Gave her a good rubbing ... cleaned all her dirty bits ... found a staple in the rear tire, but it didn't go all the way through, thank goodness ...

You are a brave man.

Spent half the day removing the old, dead battery and looking for a replacement. No luck.

Checked and cleaned the air filter.

Then added prophylactic protection for my new fork seals :)

The old BMW airheads had a battery that was almost as difficult to remove. An old joke was that the first thing on the assembly line was the battery, then they built the bike around it. :)

Now that I have a new battery, I need more light with less watts used so I can run heated gear and charge my phone. My stator only puts out 400w with the bike using almost 300 of that.

I got these from ADVmonster, saving me about 75w in headlight usage.

They were a perfect fit but the H3 low beam bulb required some engineering with a paper clip to replace the OEM clip that held the bulb in place. Plug and play!

Everything buttoned up and now I have light!

I'll take some night time photos soon. And review the functionality over the OEM.
