Hey, I'm kinda retired but not really. Retired from the Navy in 2000, now a cattle rancher. What a difference. No money in cows, but the meat is great. I've been riding for about 39 years. love long distance rides. I ride a 99 Goldwing and will take it almost anywhere, I get some strange looks when i'm out in the woods on some logging road. I'm planning an Alaskan trip in 2020, doing a lot of research now. I hope to meet a lot of new friends and I already no a couple. Thanks for the ADD. Jimmy

Welcome from Huntsville.

If riding to Alaska is in your plans, we have a few folks that know a little about that.

Oh Yeah, I'm retired from the Navy too.

Welcome Jimmy.

Glad you chose to join us.

Alaska! Now there's a fine place to ride. At least in my book.

If you haven't already done so, check the Ride Report section. There are a few reports there about trips to and in Alaska.

Welcome Jimmy. You know where I am.... Your home town... Folks I have known this good fella a long time. We will just say the 6th grade. So long ago that the phone company still used the "PARTY LINE" system..
Hope you enjoy the site. Susan and I have met a good number of these folks at dinners, rides, and camping trips. And have enjoyed being around every one.
And yes check out the ride reports they have posted, great stories.  And feel free to post up some of your rides with pics. Pictures are like porn for this group.
Also tell your brothers to join in. They ride too if I'm correct.
Anyway, Welcome Aboard Sailor!!

Chuck
It's a beautiful day, let's go somewhere....

Welcome.  The only Alaska advise I can offer is that you will almost never get a gun thru the Canadian Customs.  And if you want to go all the way to the sea, you need to advise the got a week in advance

Welcome from Cullman.

Advice on Alaska?  the roads are terrible....and don't waste time going to Prudhoe Bay, Arctic circle is good enough in my book....ride "Top of the World" HWY, Denali HWY, and Seward....

Camping is cheap, but $16 cheeseburgers are not.

Welcome from Pinson. Alaska - don't pass a gas station without fueling up. Oh, and get DS tires  ::)
