We don't have our own Vintage riding thread going, so let's see who else posts something here.  It would fit equally well in "Ride Reports", so maybe in the future I'll duplicate the reports to make them more universally visible :-\

Today, I got the old '74 Super Glide out to run some gas thru it and circulate the oil.  It's been basically sitting since late August when the brake light quit working.  Since then, I've been stealing brief moments whenever my schedule permits to try and figure out the problem, but (as of today) I still haven't cracked it >:(.  But thankfully, I live near Redstone Arsenal, and I knew I can ride it on some of the outlying roads and likely not encounter any other traffic.  Thankfully, I was correct!

In doing so, I saw places on the Arsenal that I didn't know existed, even when I served on the Arsenal as a soldier!  Here are a few pics that I snapped along the way...Enjoy!

Here are two photos of the Redstone Test Site, which has been a landmark on the National Historic Register since 1976.  The Redstone Rocket was tested here in 1958, and Alan Shepard did his first launch from here in 1961!  Wow!

And, here's a display maintained by NASA's George Marshall Space Flight Center showing many historical rockets from the early days.
