provided that sharing a google map plot is as easy as copy paste of the URL bar.

Planning on doing this saturday the 24th.

Pace won't be anything crazy speedlimitish.

I'm in, but we may want to avoid the talladega area on account of the race this weekend
I'll never be old enough to ride a sportbike responsibly...

Hwy 79 between Scottsboro and Guntersville is an arrow straight boring 2-lane road with plenty of fishermen pulling their boats. Your route on Hwy 35 isn't much better, but is a 4-lane

IMO a better route would be turn in Section on left on CR 43, right on Bluff Road, right on CR 38(Langston Gap Road). (there are other ways to get to CR 38 before you get to Section. Most of the roads on Sand Mt are good roads.)
Left on CR 67, continue straight on 227 which takes you into Guntersville. Or at the big dog food plant turn left on Wyeth Drive, this will bring you from the other direction to Val Monte Dr, the road Top of the River is on. Wyeth Dr is very curvy road through a residential area and along the river.
You can also pickup CR 67 after you drop off Sand Mt and just before you cross over the river. Hwy 40 turns right and CR 67 turns left.

Get the times nailed down and I'll move this to Planned Rides and get it on the calendar.

There's no such thing as a "REAL RIDER!". If you have a motorcycle, you've done all you need to do.

I'm going to have to postpone this one a week or two. Work has called me in this weekend. Probably a good thing as I learned yesterday that I'm out of pad material on my front brakes.

Jrobinson, I'll def look into some of those roads this weekend in my down time and reroute the proposed route and get some times / dates for the actual ride.
