I'll be headed out that morning at 9am to meet up with some friends at the lodge at the Mt Cheaha State Park. Anyone interested in riding along with me let me know.
Meet me at the Triple R BBQ in Scottsboro at 8am-8:30 KSU 9am. It's located on HWY 35S just before you cross the Comer Bridge going south toward Rainsville.
Pretty straightforward ride. Medium paced street ride to the park and back. If you're not in a position to ride my route everyone and anyone is invited to meet up there at the park for lunch as well.
FYI I'll meet a couple of riders at the Pak A Sak at the intersection of HWY 9 and US 78 near Oxford and we'll make the trek up the mountain from there. I should be there around 11am-11:30 am so anyone can join up there as well. We should all be at the park no later than 12:00 to 12:30 and sitting down to eat around 1pm. Pretty flexible really.
Post up if you want to meet up with me in Scottsboro or plan to just be there and I'll keep an eye out for you.

Not sure I can make it, Hawk, but I'm interested, and I'll let you know as the date approaches.  Thanks for the invite!

I wish I could.  My Widows Sons chapter has an event that day, but now it looks like I'll be skipping that one also and moving my Mama into an assisted living facility.

Mama trumps everything.

I hope y'all have a good turn out.

We may want to move the talladega dual sport ride to this day and try to coordinate a meetup for lunch.

Thoughts @dredman?
I'll never be old enough to ride a sportbike responsibly...

Hey old friend. Since Bama is off that day I may be up for it. Have not rode much in months & months.

I knew there was something going on that date. My favorite band KANSAS is in Huntsville that night. May still go though.

We should be back before it gets dark. So plenty of time to make the show.

Been hoping the forecast would change but it looks like it's just getting worse. Cold and raining this Saturday. So it's my opinion that we pull the plug on the M&G this Saturday and maybe try again later. I know I don't want to ride in 35-40 degree rain and I'm pretty sure no one else does either.

Hawk, I agree.  The weather ain't lookin' too good.

Please post new date when you decide you want to go.  It sounds like a fun ride and a great lunch destination!
