The missus and I are going to take a little ride through the Bankhead tomorrow. Maybe check out a couple of dead ends the Forest Service MVUM says are supposed to be open this time of year. Plan is to ride down the East side of the forest and eat in Houston. Then if the roads aren't blocked ride up the West side around the Big Tree Fire area and across the top before returning home.

I will be 2up on the baby beemer so the pace will be slow.

Plan to meet at Greg's Grocery on 157 at 10:00 tomorrow if you want to come along. I can accommodate changes if necessary. Post up if you want to come along.

Over 1500 acres now on fire in the Sipsey Wilderness Section.    Might want to check your route before heading out.

The fire is in the Sipsey proper.  The way down will be clear for sure.  Will change the return if necessary.
