Having the same set mounted right now. Curious to figure how they handle on the road. But at the price I figured they were worth the try.

Please give feedback on the shinkos, I am going to need a set for a XR650L soon and might even consider some on the GS.

10-4 I'll probably know more in a week or so. Riding to work this week and getting some pie in the National Forest this weekend!
Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however,  extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity.

If it don't scare you, you ain't doing it right.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.

Installed  vforce 4 reeds,  jd jet kit, and decals on the 300 and a decal kit on my kid's. I can't really decide if I want to do a rekluse clutch on my bike yet. With the chugga-bility of the motor it is very hard to stall and the estart solves those awkward hillside bad position kickstarts.

600 mile service on the GROM... and a few "goodies".
Kitaco clutch cover kit, giving the engine a replaceable oil filter (Honda -HB6-) and eliminating the 2.5 lb spinner from the rotating mass equation.
Driven valve covers, cam cover, inspection plugs, oil fill cap.
Hard Racing engine support brace and shift shaft support bracket.
Core braided brake lines front and rear.
CRG shorty levers.
There's no such thing as a "REAL RIDER!". If you have a motorcycle, you've done all you need to do.

When I first bought the KLR, I rejetted it, changed the fuel/air mixture screw, opened the airbox, and put on a Uni filter.  Today, I put on the last performance piece --- DG V2 Exhaust.  It really did transform the bike.  No longer sounds like a lawnmower ... and the epithet "donkey" is no longer appropriate either!

Also received a set of Shinko 700s to go on next --- $103 and next day delivery from Motorcycle Superstore.

Prepping for RFP #11...

- new shoes and socks

- wired in my 660 Garmin mount
- new Suzuki front fender (much more stylish  8))
- swapped the rear rack from the 510
- JD jetting kit
- original headlight cowl (probably put the Trailtech back on for the trip)
- KTM folding mirrors to replace the floppy generic d/s mirrors

Last time I had soft bags on my KLR the heat from the muffler deformed the right bag.  So after having my KLR for only 12 years I finally got something to allow me to carry saddlebags.

Then it was off to Cycle Gear where they had some Sedici Saddlebags on sale for 100 bucks.

Battery was five years old, and the dash had a lot of fading and discoloration.

Updated the EFI map in the 690 adding more fuel to try to smooth out this beast a little! Of course the cable I purchased had an issue! Someone ham fisted the connector until it cut the wire!
