Finally got around to installing my Altrider Skid Plate on my Super Tenere. It wasn't bad, just a lot of bolts for all the brackets. Hope it helps protect the oil filter and oil sump well. Also did the 2nd oil change a little early (3300 miles vs 4000 miles) just because I didn't want to have to take this thing back off anytime soon.

Fixed a little oil seep and found some nearly melted wires!!

Continued the winter maintenance on the 690!

Found some more chaffed wires. The engineers at KTM thought they would be fine routed under the battery tray!

All cleaned up!

And sustenance!

Valve check. All in spec!

Preparing for the fuel filter change to come this weekend.

Rebuilt the front master cylinder on the YZ!

Also figured out why the throttle was a little notchy, there was some grip glue in the housing so I cleaned that up as well! Silky smooth now!!

Nice Goat

Finished work early, so I rejetted the DR650 for colder weather and more fuel economy.  Blue needle, 4th from top, down to 150 main.  Performed the work using only what is in my tool roll.

Runs much better, very little popping.  Went to fill up my gas tank with corn-free gas.  Going to see how far I can go on one full tank.

Also installed a pair of Giant Loop luggage mounts.
