Don't worry about the exact location, just name the occasion.

I knew it was too easy.   Your turn.

Alright Mr. "too easy pants".  Let's go more difficult.  This is near the south end of the most awesomest curvy canyon road in all of the Black Hills up t' South Dakotee.  If you've ever been to Sturgis and didn't go here (just a few miles west), you goofed up.  Name the Canyon (easy).  Name the falls (bonus points).

Yankee Dog

Dang it.  Been there but can't remember the name

Sneak a peek at a map, it might come back to you.  I kinda figure this one will need a Google-boost anyways.  Someone has almost this exact angle linked to the location on gmaps.

It's almost my sleepy time so one more hint and fun fact.
The canyon shares the name of a town that still holds the world record for fastest temperature change.  49 deg. In two minutes  :o ....true story, bruh.  Once the phenomenon was over, It subsequently reurned to the starting temp in only 27 minutes.  Also, the fast moving moving creek freezes from bottom to top in winter and, as a result of bottom ice buildup, has caused flooding in ********.

I will guess Spearfish Canyon.   I will have to skip the bonus points.
