Thanksgiving weekend ride Saturday 11-28
« on: November 25, 2020, 07:26:45 AM »
I just purchased a 2014 v strom 1000 and want to stretch its legs with a proper ride Saturday.
I can't say I have anywhere specific in mind yet. I live in Huntsville so would be starting the ride out of Huntsville. Weather looks like it will be nice with a high of 61, but likely we would want to dip out earlier rather than later as the temp drops a lot once the sun goes down.

Who would be interesting in some riding? I am going to look at some routes, but am very open to suggestions. This would be a street ride.

You know... that would be good to post. I live in Huntsville AL so I would be leaving from this area. Not against going up into TN for the ride though.

Temperature Saturday should be 50°F at 10AM.

How long of a ride are you interested in? 100 miles? 150 miles? Do you have favorite routes or are you asking for someone to show you a route? From Huntsville most everything interesting spends most of the route in Tennessee.

Both of my street bikes are still down  or I’d be in! Have fun.

I spent most of today in North Alabama near the skyline area and found some more nice roads. The mountains there end up for some fun climbs up mountains.

I'm up for anything. I can create a route and lead. I have followed Klaviator enough to know where a lot of the good roads are. I have some of my own in mind too.
Thinking between 100-200 miles.

You can come ride my 06 DL1000! Lol. No honestly, I wouldn't mind. I'll be cleaning it up soon and putting it up for sale.

Need an "Unlike" button for this.

More power to you guys on the ride, sounds fun.  I'm stuck like Sweeper got too much going on.
