So:  What do you count as your #1 ride and/or event of 2017?

As for me, I count my first visit to Barber Motorsports' Vintage Fest as the most rewarding event that I was able to participate in this year.  The eclictic mix of bikes and the welcoming hospitality of hosts and guests alike made this an event that I hope never to miss in the future!

How about you?

Thank you so much renchinrider, I just took a few moments to sit here and reflect on this past year. (the effect you where looking for)

2017 has been packed with great rides and adventures for Susan and I. "The Great Flash Mob Tour", Tellco Plains (droping the bike with my wife for the first time ever), trip to San Antonio, Escort ride in south Florida of World Traide Center beam, My first Patriot Guard escort, and so many others some good some bad.

But the #1 thing: The morning I setback in the seat, twisted the throttle and rode to Montgomery after becomming a "One-eyed Jack" and the feeling that morning will remain with me forever. For anyone reading this and would like to know the whole story here is the link to the thread:

I just asked Susan her Best Memory of Motorcycle 2017: She said the day I left for a solo day ride on a 1985 Goldwing and returned that afternoon sporting a 2016 Goldwing. It made her feel more secure with a new relable bike to travel with.

We hope to fill 2018 with MANY more memories traveling together.

It's really hard for me to pick just one ride or event as my #1 since I had a went to a lot of great rides and events this year.

I guess if I have to pick just one it would be the five day trip I took on my 150cc Kymco scooter.  It was my first time actually touring on a small scooter and I really enjoyed it.  Normally a five day and less than 1000 mile trip wouldn't be all that epic but somehow doing it on such a small bike made it feel that way.

Nice Goat

I really enjoyed the weekend that my wife and I went to the mountains by ourselves.  We both enjoy group rides very much, but this trip was just for us.

I continue to find myself having to limit by off-road riding time due to the arm/hand nerve issues and now a back that is, apparently, forever more jacked up from an event that happened, you guessed it..... riding a dirtbike.

So for me, fewer great memories on the dirtbike for 2017.

But I can look back with a smile as I got to experience two really great trips - Baja in January then New Brunswick, Canada for lobster in the summer.

Deciding which was best is like deciding which is better:  Chocolate ice cream or pizza?  Both are great, just in different ways.

Hoping for more good times on two wheels with my riding buddies in 2018.

I am with Brian on this one! Both great for different reasons!

Competing in such a crazy race on the completely wrong bikes and on a great team!
