Rode the FTR race replica, and the Challenger Dark Horse.

The demo event was at the Indian store in Lynchburg, TN which we all know is a popular rider destination because of Jack Daniels. Both bikes were popular so I had to wait a little to do the test ride since they only had 2 of each. The FTR came in first from the demo ride so it was the first one I tried.
The cool thing about the demo ride was that they wanted you to follow a specific route that was about 20 miles of curvy Tennessee roads, but no escorts, no chaperones, no group ride, so you could demo the bikes at your own pace.

The first thing I noticed about the FTR was the seat height was tall and that the ergonomics were very similar to the Livewire. If money were no object I would choose the Livewire over the FTR. The throttle response or fueling was twitchy and not linear when opening it up. The suspension was very good. Brakes were very good. Seat was wider than expected and very supportive. A lot of engine heat came through the seat. The bike actually comes with cruise control which is surprising considering that the scout doesn't.

Yes, I killed any fuel economy numbers during my test ride considering that I knew the roads well.

If I were considering a bike like this I would have to test ride the KTM Super Duke, the Ducati Monster, and maybe the Triumph Speed Triple before making a choice.

I saw an email about the bikes being in Lynchburg.  I would like to ride the FTR and Scout at some point.  Given my recent history of bikes following me home after test rides, I've placed myself in test ride isolation for a while.

I would have liked to have made it for the demo rides but I was too busy riding around Tellico.  I did had the chance to ride some Indian Scouts some time back when the demo truck was at Freedom Powersports.

This was yesterday, Tuesday the 27th.  How long did you stay in Tellico?

Same reason I won't test ride the V85TT until I see what the 100th anniversary brings.   ???

I got back on Sunday.  I guess I could have made it.
