The nice thing when you are retired is that the days of the week are Saturday, Saturday, Saturday, Saturday, Saturday, Saturday and Sunday.  So on the first Saturday after Sunday Steve, Randy and I went for another ride.  We headed East on 565/72 and turned up 65 through Paint Rock Valley.  After that it was a bunch of curvy back roads to Lynchburg.  I was having too much fun to take many pics.  The pace was a "bit" faster than the Sunday ride.

The colors were mostly past peak but there were a few nice spots.

.

Lynchburg had some nice colors.

We had BBQ at the Barrel House.

Steve taking a selfie afterwards.

More fall colors.

We went over and checked out the Indian dealer just off the square.

If I win the lottery.....

Steve checking out the bobber.

Jack Daniels edition.

This thing was humongous.

Steve leading the way to Winchester.

Steve lived outside Winchester 36 years ago and he wanted to find the house he lived in.  Well thing have changed a bit in 36 years and he got all turned around several times and never did find it.

Our next stop was Cowan.

.

36 cents per gallon for regular and 40 for premium.

We rode the fun curves up the mountain on 41a.  We stopped at the overlook rock.

.

.

Then we rode 56 back to Alabama where it becomes 117.  Those of you who have ridden that road know what fun it is!

.

Then we rode a bunch of Jackson County roads including CR39 up Crow Mountain.

.

We finished up on 65 where we got stuck behind a school bus so pulled over for a bit.

.

.

This last pic was taken when Steve and I were exiting 565 and Randy was heading off at 70 MPH or so.  Maybe his butt was a bit sore?

Thanks for another great day Win! Yes, my butt was sore. The only complaint I have about the little CB is the seat. Somehow it just doesn't work for me for more than a couple of hours.

A seat pad would probably be an easy fix for that.
