Wetumpka Horseshoe Bend Loop

Saturday morning ride from Wetumpka to Horseshoe Bend Military Park.  What could have been 10 riders turned to 3 amigos as virus, vacation, and honey do list took out several riders.  Beautiful ride up 170 and 63 with plenty of scenic views of Lake Martin to Co. Rd 128 through Windcreek State Park.  Then down 280 to Jackson's Gap (Jackson's speed trap-beware) and up to 49 and Horseshoe Bend.  The restrooms are open and several people were enjoying canoeing on the Tallapoosa.  We rode back down 49 over the Blue Creek Marina Bridge to Tallassee and then back around Rifle Range into the Redland/Wetumpka area.  All in all a great ride of around 125 miles on nice paved roads.  Tried out my new Viking tail bag for an upcoming overnight trip to Barber MSP and museum.  The tailbag secures nicely and for $55 shipped it is a "get what you pay for/it will do the trick". Lots of bikes out enjoying Alabama the Beautiful.
