That area has been warm and dry for eight days, so the mud should be very minimal.

man that was so much dang fun.

we played in the forest, played piano at the church, played like we were gangsta rappers, and played some more. coming back to camp at 60+ mph (on a two stroke, for forty minutes)aggravated my nerve problems, and my toes were in fire half the night.

thanks Glenn for scouting, leading, and generally carrying all the prep load for us. not one bike was dropped, all the spirits soared!

Kyle captured evidence that this time we actually had some pie.

We had eight people show up Friday at the state park.  We had a great campfire and beautiful view of the lake.  On Saturday, we rode about 60 miles of dirt, ate Mexican for lunch in Brent, then hightailed it back to the campground because of the coming rain.  We made it back to camp about 20 minutes before the rain started.  We moved under the pavilion and had a great time hanging out and drinking beer, still with a view of the beautiful lake.  About 6pm, two of us went to fetch dinner and pie for everybody.  Possibly the best BBQ place you've never heard of ... Lannie's BBQ Spot in Selma.  I heard that it is the oldest, continuously operating, black-owned BBQ restaurant in Alabama.

Overall, I think that it turned out to be a successful weekend of ridin' and relaxin'.  Now to start planning for Tellico next month...

This was an awesome weekend. The riding was awesome! The friends were awesomer! The food was awesomest! Time well wasted!

Did I mention it was awesome?
Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however,  extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity.

If it don't scare you, you ain't doing it right.
