ALSO.....these 2 points are actually on the same road...no maps show them connecting, but its ONLY the greatest forrest service road up there....I've got some video of it I'll post up tonight.

Suggestion here....add Whigg Meadows to Sunday morning ride....

Benton/MacKay trail....a dead-end road, but a GREAT view and ride.

I found that completely by accident last Fall. I stopped on Sycamore Trail to take a leak. Hadn't seen another soul for a couple of hours, and I was in the middle of nowhere. Mid stream, I hear something..."Is that people??". I had no idea the hiking trail intersected the FS road. Out from the brush pops a group of 6 elderly folks while I'm holding my business.

They asked if I was going to the meadow. "The wha??"

Worth the trip.

*Forgot to add...

When I got up to the meadow, there were more elderly folks (and a few more headed that way that I'd passed riding up the trail)...probably 15 - 20 total. This spot is in the middle of nowhere...I spent a good hour or so reaching it by motorcycle. You don't just park and walk up the hill to it, and some of these people were in their 80's for sure.

Once I parked and began to de-gear, I noticed the clientele and the idyllic-ness of the location...and began to wonder if I'd stumbled into some kind of ethereal, other-worldly situation. I fully expected to watch a spacecraft descend and collect these people for their journey "home".  :o

Hmmm, the elusive "Dirt Dragon" ... may have to change the Sunday afternoon route to this.

Come on guys. Some "we're here!" posts or pics of the bikes, clean/before, around the campfire. Something??? I'm working on the house today and need some Moto porn.

Oh, and ride safe. Don't muck up any people or bike parts that would prevent me from seeing any of you next weekend in The Valley 8)
Yes. I'm selfish that way :)
