Hi, Everyone!

I'm getting this edition of the Vintage Riders Digest out as quickly as possible, as I'll be away for the next two weeks doing one of two things:  Plan A:  Riding to Sturgis to see the Motorcycle Cannonball's midway stop, visiting family up north, then going to Cherokee, NC for a weekend of riding and catching up with old Army friends; or, Plan B:  Pushing the Super Glide to the nearest safe storage facility, and catching a Greyhound back to Huntsville so I can get truck and trailer, and return to the breakdown site to retrieve the old relic.  I'm eager to follow Plan A!!!

On to the newsletter:

For all you Ducati fans, you'll want to peruse this article--It's loaded with great pics...    http://www.bikeexif.com/ducati-isle-of-man-tt

I told Dale I was going to share this as well:  a British-inspired Ironhead Sportster...   https://www.hotbikeweb.com/smoke-out-bike-show-winner-british-inspired-ironhead-chopper?src=SOC&dom=tw

Here's an article about an incredible young woman whose dedication to flat track racing exceeds any level of sacrifice that I'd be willing to invest!  http://www.espn.com/espnw/sports/article/24579881/sandriana-shipman-recovered-ready-return-american-flat-track-motorcycle-racing-got-new-ride?ex_cid=2015_bnnr_ESPNWTDFY15_OutbrainM_aqsn

Finally:   although we'll be at Barber at the time of this event, the roads of north-central Tennessee will be calling us well beyond Vintage Fest.  Why not download this map for use when we travel up that way?  https://thunderpress.net/motorcycle-touring/the-folded-map-hurricane-mills-tennessee/2018/09/05.htm

I spent Saturday wrenching on the Super Glide, and couldn't make it to Eric's for the Saturday Garage Crawl.  But if it was half as good as the one he hosted in February, it was a really great time.  Mike Long took pictures, and I'm sure they're posted on our Facebook page.

Thanks for the push, Klav!  I sent out a special bulletin to the NAVMC group (about 125 members) to be sure they all know about this upcoming weekend.  It's going to be awesome!
