A memorial service will be held to remember Harvie this Thursday 5:30-9pm in Hoover at Hops n' Sauce inside Whole Foods (intersection of 31 & 150)  The service will be casual, come and go as you please, and share memories with friends and family.  Food and beer is available inside, and you can bring food from any restaurant nearby.  Please make plans to join us in Hoover Thursday to remember Harvie and make plans to ride and deliver his ashes.

Anyone planning on riding down to this from the Huntsville area?

We'll be driving. The Harley needs a stator.

I'm working evenings this week and can't get off.
Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however,  extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity.

If it don't scare you, you ain't doing it right.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.

I am hoping a few more folks will show up to Harvie's send-off this evening.  If you don't know him that well, I put together some videos to share a bit of the Essence O' Harvie, and you might even get to meet some interesting people you have not had a chance to meet before. In addition, we will plan a ride to plant his ashes at some point in the future, so come to help with the details and planning. They have a grocery store full of good food, beer, and even fresh food at the bar - lots of room for everyone.

I hope to see you there.

Looks like a good crew turned out. Wish I could have made it, both to give Springer's family my condolences, and to visit with my friends.

It was great to see so many people turn out for this.  I just wish it had been under different circumstances.  I took these pics pretty early before many of the people showed up.
